Currently based in Japan, Mr. Sato was previously employed for 18 years with General Electric in various nuclear subsidiaries in Japan and the United States. He is certified in GE’s Six Sigma Methodology and is registered as a Class-1 Radiation Engineer by the Agency of Science and Technology of Japan. He has worked in senior positions dealing with plant design, licensing, code requirements, safety analysis, metallurgy and welding, non-destructive examinations, field services, quality and radiation control. His extensive experience with internal requirements for both U.S. and Japanese utilities and vendors has uniquely prepared him to illuminate the nuclear practices and concerns of both countries at a highly specific, technical level. Mr. Sato has a B.S in Physics from Yamagata University and is completely bi-lingual in English and Japanese.
