1991-2006: IAC CELEBRATES 15 YEARS OF SERVICE
Happy Birthday IACIn August, 2006, IAC happily celebrates its 15th year of business. It was in August, 1991 that its founder, Tomohiro Yuki, incorporated International Access Corporation in the District of Columbia. With just 3 employees, a small office across from the World Bank and a vision for the future, the company grew steadily. In October 1994, the Tokyo office was opened and IAC Washington moved to larger quarters in the heart of D.C.’s business triangle.

Today, the company employs 23 staff members in both the U.S. and Japan and has completed hundreds of top-level projects and programs. The impressive network of valuable clients and distinguished consultants has continued to grow and to exceed expectations. As new opportunities emerge, we’ve added business support services to our research and consulting menu, so that we can accommodate special requests such as leased employee staffing for representative offices. Our IT department serves a large portfolio of both Japanese and non-Japanese clients who require 24/7 computer services.

IAC KEY COLLABORATOR FOR INTERNATIONAL NUCLEAR SYMPOSIUM
On June 2, 2006, International Access Corporation, in cooperation with the Japan Atomic Industrial Forum (JAIF), the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI) and the Japan Electric Power Information Center (JEPIC), arranged a unique symposium entitled “Roadmap to Success: Lessons Learned from the U.S. Nuclear Energy Renaissance”. Hosted by JAIF and METI at the Yomiuri Hall in Tokyo, Japan, the event was attended by a capacity audience of over 650 participants that included Japanese professionals from the nuclear industry, the Government of Japan, the Japanese media, prefectural and municipal officials, and the general public.

This exceptional, full-day symposium, co-sponsored by JEPIC and IAC, featured five key statesmen of the U.S. nuclear energy community who shared their individual and collective experience with the major challenges that faced the industry over the past 20 years. They detailed the main factors that contributed to the remarkable renaissance of the U.S. nuclear industry following the setbacks of the Three Mile Island incident. Following their presentations, there was relevant commentary from Japan’s senior energy regulators as well as an extensive question & answer session between the audience and the speakers. IAC selected and arranged for the participation of the following five distinguished gentlemen speaking on behalf of the U.S. nuclear community:

Joe F. Colvin – former President & CEO of the Nuclear Energy Institute
Donald C. Hintz – former President of the Energy Corporation
