JOHN T.GREEVES,P.E.-Nuclear Regulatory Safety Consultant -
Mr. Greeves expertise in nuclear safety includes senior level management of licensing, inspection, and regulation development applied to waste management, storage, transportation and disposal of spent fuel and high-level nuclear waste. Until 2004, he was Director of Waste Management and Environmental Protection at the NRC and has also served the NRC as Director of Low Level Waste Management and Decommissioning, Deputy Director of Industrial Medical and Nuclear Safety and Deputy Director of Fuel Safety and Safeguards. Prior to joining the NRC, Mr. Greeves worked for Bechtel Power Corporation on the design and construction of nuclear power plants, dams and other large construction projects. He has co-chaired the U.S. Interagency Steering Committee on Radiation Standards (ISCORS) from 1995 to 2004 and was the U.S. Government’s representative to the IAEA Waste Safety Standards Committee (WASSC). He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland and is the recipient of the Presidential Meritorious Rank Achievement Award and the NRC Special Achievement Award.
